Speaking Activities

The best way is to let them speak while they are playing a game..

The game is called TIME BATTLESHIP.

I uploaded the material into the files.

    

Players : 2

Goal: Sink all of your opponent’s ships

Setup: Each player places ships on the grid.

-one ship with 4 squares,

-two ships with 3 squares,

-three ships with 2 squares and

-four ships with 1 square on the right grid . They shouldn’t see each other’s sheets.

Rules: Take turns firing shots by telling grid coordinates.

A: Do you study English on ……….. at ……… ?

B: Yes, I do. – If the answer is yes, it is either HIT(You hit one square of the ship, but there is more.) or SUNK(the ship sinks because the whole ship is hit.)

B: No, I don’t. – If the answer is no, the shot is MISSED.
